- I don't have to feel bad about being lazy after work. I mean, it's dark anyway. Might as well just go to bed.
- It is light when I get up in the morning.
That is all I could think of. This is very depressing.
On a happier subject, it is now the holiday season! I know this because Starbucks has their Christmas drinks available. Starbucks is my official calendar. And three weeks from today I will be in Texas enjoying the SUNLIGHT! (And family and friends, but seriously, the sun might be the most important thing to me right now; if it's rainy, I cannot be held responsible for my actions.)

I do sympathize with you over the 4:30 darkness--that would be rough. Ever since DST ended, I look at Dad at night and say, "Oh my word, it's only _____ o'clock! How long till we can go to bed?"
I don't know if you are a candle person or not, but if so, I have #3 for your list!
Since it's dark when I get home now (and colder in the evenings), the first thing I do when I get home is light candles. It puts me in a holiday/Fall/calming mood to see the glow of the flame.
And it just wouldn't be the same if it was light outside! ;-)
