Happy New Year!

I love starting a new year. It's so fun to make plans and resolutions. I also really like looking back at the year that's passed. 2008 was quite a year. Darby graduated from ACU, we celebrated our first anniversary, moved to Illinois, and I started my second full-time job. Along the way I got to go to Santa Fe with Darby, to Mexico for a mission trip, to Austin for a girls' weekend, and to Chicago with Darby's parents.

I'm really looking forward to 2009. It seems like the first year in a long time that I won't have any major life changes (hopefully!) 2003 I started at ACU, 2004 I changed roommates and moved to a new dorm, 2005 I moved into a house, 2006 I graduated from college and got engaged, 2007 I got married, 2008 I moved to Illinois. In December of 2009, if all goes according to plan, I will be living in the same house with the same person, working the same job as I was in January of 2009. And that's a good thing!

Hey Kayla (and Darby) -

I am glad ya'll returned to Illinois safe and sound. It was wonderful to see you guys in Fort Worth. I still think about how cute Darby and Corrie looked on the floor playing Jenga. I got Wii Fit for Christmas. It is so awesome. It makes exercise fun. I actually think to myself "I can't wait to get up there and exercise a little. I wonder if I can sneak in a few minutes right now?" Defunitely not something I normally think about execise.
Ya'll stay warm up there. It was 82 here in Austin today!

Love,

Tere

I miss you guys! I got used to you being in Waco but I know it's always good to get back to your own home. Thanks for a wonderful time together--it couldn't have been better! 2009 sounds like it's going to be a good year for you guys! MOM

Kayla and Darby,
It was so good to see you at Christmas! I know you are probably glad to get back to all that snow and ice, though! :-)

LOVE YOU BOTH, and hope 2009 brings great things!!

That's my goal for this year: no major life changes. I am so tired of constantly being in adjustment mode. Hopefully, on Dec. 31, 2009, I will be toasting an impressively uneventful year.
